Christmas Mantel

This is my first post and I'm clueless about what I'm doing...but ready to give it a shot.

Here's our family room mantel all decked out for Christmas.

It's a mix of silver pieces, Byer's carolers, and real greenery that I snagged (for free) from a local Christmas tree lot.  The silver pieces are from auctions, ebay and antiques stores; the plate is from Replacements, Ltd in North Carolina; and four of the six carolers were gifts from my husband's aunt and uncle.

The plate was purchased at Replacements, Ltd while on a trip to Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina.  They have a wonderful showroom with a countless selection of silver pieces, dishes and glassware.  The holly lights were a purchase at Restoration Hardware years ago.

A scrabble Merry Christmas on top of the fireplace door frame.

  1. Congratulations on your first post! Of course you know I adore your mantel. Everything is so well thought out. The snow you add to your decorations is the perfect touch and I am stealing your idea.

I am proud you started your blog! Can't wait to see and hear more.
